In preparing for an event of the scope that the 40 Year Reunion of the Pasadena High School Class of 1968 has been anticipated to be, there have been many factors which have had be taken into consideration. Obviously, one of the most important of those factors is and has been the willingness and the ability to keep everyone involved, both organizers and potential attendees, informed and kept up to date regarding "what is going on". In as much as both the "discussion group", the "official" Reunion Site and the ClassReport Data Site have done such an excellent job of doing just that, there is little need for me to duplicate their efforts here other than superficially. Therefore, the focus of the "Reunion Section" will be elsewhere.

At some point during the preparation efforts for this reunion, it began to be understood that for many of our classmates who have neither seen nor had contact with others of our class since those long gone days of 1968, the experience of being brought together again in what might best be described as a "cold-turkey" manner, might prove awkward as well as perhaps a source of some degree of "awkwardness" or "discomfort" for them. So, in the months leading up to the Reunion itself, various members of our class decided to organize and host a number of smaller and more intimate gatherings which might allow for a more gradual "immersion", so to speak, into activities surrounding the Reunion. They did so in the hope that such smaller gatherings might allow a more gradual "re-acquaintance" process than would have been possible for them had they simply "showed up at the Reunion". So far, it seems to have work and there have in fact been a number of our classmates who had not previously planned to attend that Reunion, but have now changed their minds thanks to those "mini-reunions". Those who organized such gatherings graciously and generously shared of their time, their homes, their lives and their enthusiasm hoping that, as a result, the 40 Year Reunion of the Pasadena High School Class of 1968 might prove to be that much more a success, "an event to remember" and one of the best high school reunions ever. Having myself attended several of these gatherings...I think it's working!

In this section then, I choose to share visual memories and a few verbal comments regarding some of those gatherings.
